One of our accomplishments for 2016 was to sponsor WOLF PACK UNITED  at West Port High School. It is a mentor program which was started by the High School Autism teacher, Norma Barnes. The program partners students from the general student population with students who have autism. The program not only helps those with autism to learn how to become comfortable with the other students but it also helps the typical students to learn what autism is and how to help those who are affected by it.

The program has been successful in the high school and Ms Barnes is working on getting the program into all of the autism classes in Marion County.

We began a GRANT A WISH program to give $300.00 for a family to have a day of fun that they otherwise would not be able to do. Four families will be given the opportunity each year. if anyone is interested an application will be sent to them, send an email to sallygage5@centurylink.net   ANNUAL FAMILY PICNIC The picnic was held at Baseline Park in Ocala, approx. 50 people attended, there were games, bubbles, clowns, face painting, sensory tables and food. Members of The Wolf Pack United attended and helped with the children giving parents some time to enjoy talking with each other.   SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Scholastic scholarships were given to 4 students for $1000.00 each. Two were presented to students with autism who will be furthering their education and two to siblings of someone with autism.
